WHAT DOES A CUSTOMIZED PAINTING LOOK LIKE?
Original painting
customized painting
If you select a painting I already have available and want to make it more personal, it can be done by adding different details to the original composition. If you like the Eagle with the flag but want to add the marine pin laying on top of the flag, that would be a small addition that would not only make it more personal but also a one-of-a-kind painting.
This bulldog would look great with your favorite team helmet in color or black and white.
BEHIND THE BRUSH
ToniAnn Griswold has always had a deep affinity for animals and a special connection with the creatures that have shared her life. Throughout the years, she has welcomed a menagerie of pets into her home, each one bringing joy, companionship, and inspiration to her artistic endeavors. From loyal dogs and purring cats to quacking ducks and chirping birds, ToniAnn has found a special place in her heart for all of her feathered and furry friends. She has also cared for a tortoise, fish, rabbit, and other animals, each one adding their own unique presence to her life and influencing her art in various ways. Her pets have served as constant muses and companions, providing endless inspiration for her artwork and fueling her passion for capturing the beauty and spirit of the animal kingdom. Through her art, ToniAnn pays tribute to the beloved pets that have touched her life and continues to celebrate the magic and wonder of the animal world in all its diverse forms.

Toni Ann`s subjects tend to be of animals and nature due to the fact that she has always had a tremendous love of animals big and small since childhood. Although she had always drawn, she began oil painting during a class at LB City College in 2012.

Photos need to be in focus. The better the resolution, the easier to paint. Grainy references add time to a commission because I will have to look for sharper references to use and correctly apply to what details aren't clear. Natural light is always better than flash photography because flash washed out the natural details in subject features like eyes, skin, or fur. When photography animals it is best to be on the same level as the subject so that they are not looking up and distorting perspective. Once I have reference photos we can discuss which photos would serve the best depiction of the subject.

Original prints are directly created by the artist using traditional printmaking techniques, making each one unique and usually part of a limited edition. On the other hand, giclée prints are high-quality reproductions produced using inkjet printers, known for their exceptional color accuracy and detail reproduction. While both capture the essence of the original artwork, original prints bear the artist's touch, while giclée prints offer faithful reproductions.
